Can you keep learning in a lockdown?

Takeda

The corona crisis gave lots of L&D people a dilemma.

Did lockdown mean people would be too busy looking after their kids for training? Or would some be craving interaction?

For Takeda, we came up with a set of 90-minute virtual training workshops to square the circle. Short enough to squeeze into a busy day, frequent enough to give people a regular pick-me-up.

So far, we’ve tackled four topics:

Storytelling. PowerPoint that doesn’t suck. Presenting virtually. Behavioural science.

We’ve had participants from Japan to the US, with some people choosing to stay up really late or get up really early to join in. Next we’re hitting the senior leaders, and training Takeda’s own team to run practical follow-ups.

Schwa have run active, fun virtual sessions for our organization. Their engaging style allows everyone to participate and walk away with practical and applicable learning. We’re already planning new initiatives.
